Jan 18th-27th. A variety of machines and manpower is used to remove snow and ice fall in Montreal during Winter. The caterpillar tractor was used to clean streets and sidewalks after the ice storm because the accumulated ice and snow had hardened to the consistency of rock and broke the regular snow plows. People also use axes and ice picks to break up the ice. During the Ice Storm, because of the freezing rain I cleaned my car several times of ice but it just kept on building up.
